The Closed Door Meeting was held on 22nd September, 2024 at 7.00 pm at Hotel Park View. The following members from our club were present : Lion Rajendra and Mugda Mahimkar Lion Prem and Bhavna Dewani Lion Manohar and Shubhada Motwani Lion Mickey and Rashida Kapadia Lion Uday and Kanchan Chhatre Lion Vijay and Vijaylaxmi Iyengar Lion Kripa Ram Chaddha Lion G D Kapur The Meeting called to order by President Lion Rajendra Mahimkar at 7.00 pm. The Audited accounts for the year 2023-24 was explained. In Charity accounts the year closed with a surplus of Rs. 84,000/- and in the Administrative account the year closed with a deficit of Rs.231/-. Further he explained in detail about the Water Lifting Project at Palghar District. The total cost of the project is about Rs. 24 lakhs from which 50 % will be contributed by Millenium Club, while some amount has been pledged by Wellington Cresent and Khar North club. President Lion Rajendra Mahimkar also raised his personal contribution in this project from Rs. 1.5 lakhs to Rs. 2.5 lakhs. Thereafter the projects for October Service week (OSW) were discussed. It was concluded that we would participate in the following projects : 1. Youth Distribution of healthy nutritious food stuff and essentials and stationery to children of the orphanage 2. Cancer Donation of medical supplies to Shanti avaidhna Sadan 3. Child hood Cancer Donation of nutrition kits to Wadia hospital 4. Environment Participation in beach clean up project at Malad 5. Vision and Diabetes Medical camp for vision and diabetes and donation of free spectacles to children and adults living in the slums already completed this project (Project already completed) 6. Hunger Donation of food stuff cereals rice sugar etc to old age home and also for the home of destitute women 7. Environment Installation of water cooler at the gramin vidyalay to provide clean drinking water to school children The cost of each project would be in the range of Rs. 7000 to Rs. 10,000/-. The dates for these projects would be circulated to the club members well in advance so that they would participate in the projects actively. This was followed by adjournment of the meeting by President Mahimkar at 8.00 pm.
