DG Introduction

  • Never underestimate the power of a woman’s intuition. Some women can recognise game before you even play it. One such woman is MJF Lion Saraswati Sankar abundantly blessed with many qualities such as leadership skills, intelligence, confidence, and courage. She has a will and desire to serve the downtrodden and needy.
    All these qualities make her an ideal leader suitable to lead the district. Her passion for service combined with her administrative skills add up to the other qualities that she possesses . She has a legacy of a 30 year long journey in Lionism, through out her Lionistic journey she has held various leadership positions as the club president, Zone chairperson, Region chairperson, DC for talent contest, Lions Quest , solar energy notebooks, Centennial coordinator, village adoption, smart village, and community centres .
    She was appointed head of the global action action team in 2019-20 . As a post graduate in Economics and business management, she has had an impressive career in the banking industry having worked in a responsible position in public sector bank, she soon climbed up the ladder to the level of Deputy General manager. She was the pioneer in implementing an IT system in Singapore which connected all the branches of the bank around the world . She has worked on the financial inclusion system, especially the Aadhaar card, which connected the have- not’s. She has been a consultant for corporates which connected ATMs , UPI and Rupay systems.
    She has been bestowed with several recognitions and awards at district, multiple and international levels.
    Some of her outstanding contributions to the less privileged society are electrification of the adopted villages ,constructing toilets, donation of tractors for farming , building community centres and transportation facilities through boats and roads. She dreams big, she not only dreams big, she makes them happen. Also, her dream is to strengthen each club from membership angle by guiding them to find new avenues to raise funds for Service activities from the perspective of administration by enlightening the true meaning of fellowship.
