Lion Club of Virar Vikas successfully conducted Activity No. 29 (2024-25) titled “Your Eyes, Our Vision” on 10th September 2024. The event took place at Ganpati Mandal near Makwana Brother, opposite Old Viva College, Virar West. During the activity, over 110 eye tests were conducted, 20 free eyeglasses were distributed, and 50 Del cards were provided.

Lions Club of Mumbai Carter Road successfully completed Project No. 2 on 27th September 2024. As part of our ongoing mission to support water projects, we inaugurated an Ultra Water Filtration Plant at Nutan Vidyalaya, Bhadoli, Palghar District, a school catering to students from 5th to 10th standards.

This project will ensure 100% bacteria-free water for the 391 students and 12 teachers, safeguarding them from waterborne diseases.

Total Project Cost: ₹2,51,000/-

Warm appreciation for outstanding Zone Social of Zone Chairperson, Zone 8, Region 4, *Lion Rushita Viraj Sanghavi* and her Zonal Clubs along with Chief Guest Region Chairperson, Region 4, *Lion Bankim Dalal*. Hawaiian Boat Party with three boats, unique RC entry in speed boat, Scavenger hunt for clubs, garlands and bands to go with the theme given to all, DJ were the highlights of the Zone Social.

175 competitors participated in the grand cycle competition organized by People Foundation and Lions Club of Dahanu with the aim of cycling to prevent pollution. The competition was inaugurated by Mr. Sanjay Patil, President of the Lions Club. Athletes from Dahanu, Boisar, Palghar, Pune participated in this event. Athletes from 10 years to 65 years participated in this event. The competition was successfully conducted with the participation of all the office bearers of the Foundation as well as Lions Club President Mr. Sanjay Patil, Secretary Mr. Rajesh Lade, Lions Mr. Jignesh Thakkar, Lions Brijesh Champaneri, Lions Mr. Prakash Kadel, the winners were felicitated with cash prizes and trophies.

Lions Club of Agashi is proud to announce the successful distribution of tricycles to differently-abled individuals, spreading the message of inclusion and accessibility.

Today’s project donated full size Blankets one per family around 50, Steel cupboard, notebooks 250 numbers, colour box, pencils, plates to anganwadi students as well as sweet packets in two schools at a remote place of adivasi pada at Murbad. Attended by Lion Sharmila Mahajan ,Lion Vijay Mahajan. Total manpower hours 20 hours . Total beneficiary 100. project cost Rs. 28000.

Kindness In Action

Executive Summary:

The Lions Club Vasai Road Manickpur and Leo Club Vasai Road Eden Rose, in collaboration with the Mohammad Charitable Trust, successfully executed a ration kit distribution program on 02/02/25 benefiting 52 widows’ families in the Vasai Road Manickpur area.  The program provided essential food supplies and addressed immediate needs within the community.  This initiative aligns with the Lions Club’s ongoing commitment to community service and represents a signature monthly project.

Program Details:

Objective: To provide essential food supplies and alleviate immediate hardship for 52 vulnerable widows’ families.

Implementation: Ration kits containing [List contents of the kits – rice, wheat, lentils, oil, sugar, etc.] were distributed to each family.  The distribution was organized efficiently and ensured equitable access for all beneficiaries.

Logistics: The program involves careful planning and coordination, including procurement of supplies, kit preparation, volunteer recruitment, and distribution logistics.

Financial Aspects: The total project cost was ₹40,000, entirely funded by the Mohammadi Charitable Trust.

Conclusion:

The ration kit distribution program was a resounding success, effectively addressing the immediate needs of 52 vulnerable families.  The collaborative effort between the Lions Club, Leo Club, and the *Mohammadi Charitable Trust* exemplifies the power of attorney community partnerships in addressing social issues.  This program reinforces the Lions Club’s commitment to its ongoing community service initiatives.
